A new website featuring a wealth of information about community transport services across Wiltshire and Swindon has been launched by local community development charity, Community First.
The website, www.wiltshirecommunitytransport.org.uk, is aimed at assisting members of the public who want to find out more about the community minibuses, Link schemes and Shopmobility services in their area.
The site also provides information about transport to local health facilities; Wiltshire-based ‘green’ transport schemes and local bus and rail services. In addition the site features a downloadable document with information about services that will come to people’s front doors.
The site includes in-depth information about services run by community minibus schemes in Wiltshire and Swindon including details about who can be carried by these services; which areas bookings can be accepted from, how much the services cost and the times at which the services operate.
It is hoped that, in itself, the new website will help to improve access to local services and facilities for people across Wiltshire and Swindon.
Small changes may be made to the website over the coming weeks and months in response to feedback that is received about the site from the public and community transport groups.
To have your say about the website please email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact/feedback form featured on the site.
