Children from Sherston are taking part in a mass choral concert alongside thousands of others at Birmingham LG Arena at the NEC tomorrow.
The Young Voices series of concerts, involving 90,000 children and 120,000 schools, features guest appearances from singers such as Stacey Solomon.
Nick Bowditch, Sherston School’s headmaster, said: “We are really excited to take part in Young Voices for the first time. The opportunity to sing with thousands of other children is something we are very proud of.”
Young Voices is the world’s largest school choir organiser in the world bringing together 90,000 students, 6,000 teachers and 120,000 family and friends for a series of concerts each year. The idea is to introduce children to performance opportunities to encourage them to learn more about music.
School governor Fi Parsons said: “The children learn the same popular songs as children from dozens of other schools.
“They then get the chance of a lifetime to perform in the arena all-together.”
