The man who killed his wife in a brutal attack at their Bowerhill home last year will be sentenced on Valentine's Day.
Last month 52-year-old Richard Newton admitted killing his wife Suzanne at their home on Barnes Wallis Drive.
He had been due to face a murder charge, but a guilty plea of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility was accepted.
Mrs Newton's body was found at the couple's home by neighbours on January 14 last year, and her husband was arrested a day later in Devon.
He will be sentanced at Bristol Crown Court on February 14.
