Entries for Calne Rotary Club’s charity fun run at Bowood on Sunday, March 30, are already coming in.
Nearly 300 took part in last year’s event, which raised £1,500, and similar numbers are expected this year. Money from the run will be shared between Calne Welfare Charities and the RNLI.
Alastair Muir, from the club, said: “We are looking forward to our 26th event. We do it to raise money for charity and for people in Calne to have something energetic to do in the new year.
“Thanks should go to Lord Lansdowne for letting us run around Bowood. We can take as many people as turn up, but we have already had quite a few bookings.”
The race starts at 10am with booking in from 8.30am at Bowood coffee shop. Entry is £6 in advance or £7 on the day. For £20, runners will get a commemorative running shirt and a medal.
Forms are available at www.calnerotary.co.uk/Calne RotaryFunRun.htm To sponsor the event, email CalneFunRun@aol.com
