Melksham Rotary Club president Terry Bazeley presented a cheque for £750 to the Amber Foundation at Bythesea Lodge in Trowbridge last Thursday, accompanied by Steve Brackenbury of the club’s Community Committee who organised a Big Breakfast at the Art House Café which raised the money.
The town’s Waitrose store provided food and other help. The centre in Trowbridge is home to up to 30 young people to enable them to recover from difficult circumstances, with guidance from adult leaders and time to look for work. The group were shown around by two of the young people, Tim and Darren.
