A new group which aims to improve the facilities in Trowbridge Park formed last night.
Friends of Trowbridge Park highlighted proposals for the park and they are now investigating how feasible they are.
Ideas included holding more events at the park’s bandstand, improving sports facilities and tackling anti-social drinking.
Committee member Sharl Adabashi said: “The object is to plant a seed in your mind and hearts to ask what the people of Trowbridge would like our park to look like in five or 10 years time.”
The group will be working with Trowbridge Town Council, who took over the park from Wiltshire Council last year, to carry out their plans.
Bill Austin, the town council’s head of direct services, said: “The aim is to create a vibrant safe environment for all of us to use and enjoy.”
Trowbridge Town Council has spent around £97,000 on work in the park since taking over its management.
Friends of Trowbridge Park is expected to register as a charity which will enable them to apply for grants to aid their plans.
