People with dementia in Wiltshire could soon benefit from dementia friendly communities to support and help them with their independence.
Through consultations with people with dementia, their carers and families, Wiltshire Council and the NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group have created The Wiltshire Dementia Strategy.
Corporate director Maggie Rae said: “This strategy maps out how we will provide high-quality care and support. We are committed to making dementia everyone’s business so people living with the condition can be supported by understanding people.”
On Tuesday it agreed a strategic direction and a three-month consultation starts next month.
