RESIDENTS will have the chance to save money on their fuel bills as another auction for the UK’s largest collective energy scheme is being rolled out.
Ready to Switch is the largest and most inclusive scheme of its kind in the UK, with Wiltshire Council and 11 other local authorities joining as part of the collective led by Peterborough City Council.
People in Wiltshire can register until February 17.
This is the seventh such collective auction to be held in the UK. Many Wiltshire and Swindon residents are making savings of £100 or more through the scheme.
Residents who registered in the previous auction round will soon receive offer letters or emails letting them know if they’ll be saving against their current deal – and if so how much money will be going back into their pocket.
Wiltshire Council cabinet member for the environment Toby Sturgis said: “With the colder weather setting in energy prices are continuing to rise, putting a strain on household budgets. I encourage residents to look into this scheme and see what savings they could make.”
