Five generations of the same family posed for pictures last week after little Joanna Moore made an early arrival just after New Year.
Devon Moore’s first child, who weighed in at a dainty 5lbs 1oz when she arrived at the Royal United Hospital in Bath on January 3, was a month early and caused her extended family concern.
Joanna’s great grandmother, Doreen Edwards, 66, from Caird Lawns in Devizes, said: “It took us all by surprise when she turned up so suddenly but she is fine now and we are just delighted.”
It is a first great great grandchild for 90-year-old Margaret Alexander, of Shrewton, who took it all in her stride.
Mrs Edwards said: “She just said: ‘Not another one’, but I know she is pleased.”
Mrs Alexander has six children, 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family got together at the home of Mrs Edwards and her husband Peter for a picture with our photographer.
As well as great great grandmother Mrs Alexander and great grandmother Mrs Edwards, there was grandmother Lucy Cook, 43, from Fairway, Calne as well as Devon, 22, and Joanna.
