Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses, after identifying four people from a CCTV image they would like to speak to in connection with an assault which occurred in Warminster.

An 18-year-old man was assaulted as he stepped in to stop an argument in the High Street. He suffered serious facial injuries in the unprovoked attack.

The incident occurred at about 2.30am on September 15 last year and enquiries have been ongoing to identify his attacker and potential witnesses to the assault.

DC Nick Ryan said: “This was a serious assault and we will continue to do everything we can to identify the person responsible.

“I would like to appeal for the people in the CCTV image to come forward as they may have vital information to help us find the offender.”
