OLYMPIC horsewoman Lucinda Fredericks, who won a silver medal for three-day eventing at the Beijing Olympics, was the guest of honour at a UK China Business Consortium lunch to celebrate the new Chinese year of the Horse.
Members of the consortium, which includes commercial law firm Clark Holt and PR and marketing agency Vox, were joined by guests who have an interest in doing business with China, as well as representatives of CBBC, the trade service delivery partner in China for UK Trade And Investment.
The UK China Business Consortium supports Chinese companies considering investing in the UK, and UK companies looking to trade with or expand into Hong Kong and China. Members of the consortium already have established trading links with China and are supported by the UKTI.
Jeremy Holt, who founded the consortium four years ago, said he was delighted that Lucinda was able to join the group.
“She more or less joined us straight from a flight from Hong Kong, so we really appreciated her being there,” he said For more information about the consortium, visit uk-chinabusiness consortium.com.
