Firefighters made a generous donation to Kennet Community Transport to help keep their minibus on the road.
Marlborough firefighters raised £250 with a car wash last September and the Jazz Festival in June and split the money between Kennet Community Transport and the Fire Fighters Charity.
Earlier this month a cheque was presented to the Marlborough charity, which brings elderly and disabled residents who would otherwise be housebound to the Jubilee and New Road centres in the town.
Wiltshire Council used to contract-hire the minibus but this ended last March.
Kennet Community Transport chairman Alexander Kirk-Wilson said: “This money is invaluable because the Jubilee Centre and the New Road Centre who use the bus can’t afford to keep it running.
“The money will go towards the upkeep of the bus and things that used to be funded by Wiltshire Council.”
Marlborough fire station will hold another charity car wash next month.
