WILTSHIRE and Swindon History Centre has held workshops at County Hall in Trowbridge this week to tell visitors about the services it offers.

The centre, based in Cocklebury Road, Chippenham, brought a stand to the venue holding different sessions each day. These included visitors having the opportunity to have old photographs analysed and getting advice for studying their family trees.

Mike Marshman, county local studies librarian, based at the Chippenham centre, said: “We are showing the variety of things on offer that we do regarding heritage and the arts and opening people’s eyes to the help we can provide.”

Today, between 10am and 4pm, experts will be on hand to talk about how to preserve Wiltshire’s landscape.

Tomorrow there is a workshop on arts and culture programmes available in Wiltshire between 10am until 4pm.
