A teenager has appeared in court charged with selling cannabis to friends .
Robbie Shore pleased guilty to a charge of possessing the class B drug with intent to supply when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
The 18-year-old, of Williams Close, Melksham, admitted he had the cannabis on Friday, November 1 last year.
Tessa Hingston, prosecuting, said police only found about 7g of the drug with a street value in the region of £70 when he was arrested.
But she said there were as number of text messages which indicated he was involved in the trade in it.
"There are text messages sent as bulk messages, some texts indicating that he had cannabis available for sale," she said.
She said the messages were over a limited period of a few days and so the Crown accepted his explanation that he was dealing to friends to find his own use.
Anne Corlett, defending, asked for the case to be adjourned for a pre-sentence report and Shore was released on bail to Friday, March 21.
