Holt is the latest village to host a new Post Office local service when it opens at Holt Superstore next month.
The current Post Office in The Common closes on Tuesday, March 18 at 5.30pm.
The move will mean longer opening hours and a modern open-plan counter and improved accessibility with level access.
The new branch opens the following day, on March 19 at 1pm and will be open Mondays to Fridays from 6am to 8.30pm, Saturdays 7amto 8.30pm and Sundays from 8am to 8.30pm.
Post Office ‘local’ is a new concept delivering services from a retail serving point with Post Office products and services available alongside normal retail transactions during shop opening hours.
Post Office Regional Network Manager – South, Will Russell, said they understood how important it was to a community to have Post Office services and were confident the new concept would meet local needs as well as securing future services.
He said: “This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
