People in Marlborough can delve into their family’s past thanks to the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre’s Beyond the Internet course.
The workshop isat the Kennet Valley Hall in Lockeridge on March 24.
Terry Bracher, Wiltshire’s archives and local studies manager, and Michael Marshman, Wiltshire’s local studies librarian, will look at sources for family historians and explain how to use them.
Mr Marshman said: “This course is normally fully booked when we hold it in our much smaller room at the History Centre in Chippenham.
“Lockeridge Hall will be a much better venue for local people and will allow them to learn about many sources that they won’t even find on the internet.
“We hope that this will provide them with the knowledge and skills to both broaden their research and go further back in time.”
Tickets are available from the History Centre or by calling (01249) 705500.
