Devizes wildlife expert Jennie Harrison can look forward to a bright new living room after winning our competition for £2,000 worth of furniture and soft furnishings.

Mrs Harrison, who lives with her husband Bill in Roundway Gardens, Devizes, collected all four tokens in our competition and her entry was selected from nearly 400 others to win.

When the Gazette broke the news to her on Monday, she said she was delighted.

She said: “I almost never enter these kind of competitions, but it did look so inviting. This is the first time I’ve won a prize like this, so it is wonderful.”

The prize includes a large light natural Tiverton sofa, Sherlock armchair, Hartford trestle coffee table, Hartford trestle side table, terrarium glass table lamp, Curator canvas, multi-weave green throw, multi-weave cushion, family printed cushion, fern embroidery cushion and butterfly jacquard cushion.

For many years Mrs Harrison was a volunteer for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and organised the charity’s shop in High Street, Devizes before it closed. She has also been a broadcaster on BBC Wiltshire Radio.

The couple’s son, James, is a freelance TV and film producer.

Next’s Curator range is inspired by nature, centred on a palette of greens and warm cream. Graphics like botanical drawings adorn ceramics, wallpaper and glass lights.
