A HORSE racing and bingo night in aid of three-year-old Jayden-Vito Mazzotta-Drapper will be held tonight at The GW Bar and Grill.

Jayden, of Walcot, was diagnosed with spastic diplegia – a muscle-stiffness which prevents him from standing or walking without the support of a frame – when he was one year old.

His family must raise £35,000 to pay for life-changing surgery, which would allow him to walk unaided, and the physiotherapy which follows.

The operation, known as selective dorsal rhizotomy, involves cutting nerves in the lower spine and lasts between four and five hours.

Jimmy Moore, Benji Clements and Aidan Moore will perform at the event at 7pm in the venue opposite the train station.
