TELEVISION presenter and gardener Christine Walkden hosts a talk for the Wroughton and District Gardeners’ Society on Monday.

Christine, who is best known for her appearances on gardening programmes and The One Show, will talk about The Life of A Gardener at the Ellendune Community Centre.

The host of BBC show Christine’s Garden trained at the Lancashire College of Agriculture and then worked at two experimental horticultural stations, before moving to The Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, where she worked in the seed physiology unit.

Later she undertook a career change and became a freelance horticulturist, lecturing nationally and internationally.

She has presented on BBC’s Gardeners’ World and various other TV and radio programmes and is a past winner of the Garden Writers’ Guild Radio Broadcasting Award.
