AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman has been taken to the Great Western Hospital following a three-vehicle collision on the A429 on the Chelworth Crossroads.
The injured party was treated for chest pains by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the GWH. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Two dogs were also involved in the crash. One died at the scene and a second is being treated by a vet.
The incident involved a Renault Clio, a grey Subaru Forrester and a blue BMW and firefighters were called to cut the elderly woman free.
The road remains partially blocked so drivers are being asked to find an alternative route.
