Devizes businessman Bruce Hopkins is hoping for a sunny June this year as he plans his sixth community picnic event in his home village of Patney.
Mr Hopkins, owner of Devizes Fine Kitchens, regularly organises the event in his garden at Meadowmere in Woodland Road, Patney.
On Saturday, June 28, there will be musical entertainment and space for people to bring their own al fresco meals.
This year’s proceeds will be shared between Help for Heroes and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal.
Mr Hopkins will, as usual, sing selections of hits from the 1960s and Pete Lamb’s Heartbeats have also agreed to play. Tickets, £5, are available from Devizes Fine Kitchens in Northgate Street or by phoning (01380) 721772.
Before that, Mr Hopkins is organising a Singalong in the Sixties event in the Cellar Bar at the Bear Hotel on Saturday May 24.
Tickets, £3.50 each, are on sale at the hotel reception on (01380) 722444.
