Marlborough and District Junior Athletics club will be joined by more than 300 people on Sunday, who will run, jog and walk a mile to and from Marlborough Leisure Centre to raise funds.

There will also be three and six-mile courses on the day for more athletic fundraisers.

At Burbage Primary School superman will be wizzing around the school field during the Superhero Sport Relief Mile.

Each class will be sponsored to dress up as their favourite superhero and run a mile tomorrow.

Teacher Suzanne McGarry said: “Students and teachers at Burbage Primary School love taking part in Sport Relief.

“ It’s an excellent way to bring staff, students and the community together to get active, have fun and raise money for a great cause.”

Pupils at St Katherine’s in Savernake will also be running a mile on Monday while children at Ramsbury School will be dressing up in sports gear to raise money.

At Pewsey Primary School there will be a sponsored skip-a-thon which all children and some teachers will take part in.

In the morning each class will skip for 20 minutes until the next class takes over and every class will also skip for 20 minutes in the afternoon.

Half of the money raised will be given to Sport Relief and the other half will go to South Sudan.
