A man who is accused of making arrangements for a sham marriage to take place is to face trial by judge and jury.
Gbenga Abijo, 30, pleaded not guilty to conspiring to facilitate a breach of UK immigration law.
It is alleged that Abijo, of Melsome Road, Lyneham, took part in an arrangement for Mukaila Abijo, a non EU citizen, to marry an EU citizen.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Tuesday, June 3, and released Abijo on bail until then.
It is said that in January and February last year he took part in arrangement for a sham marriage at Swindon Register Office between Mukaila Abijo, 27, and Vanessa Mendes, 21.
