CCCTV images capture a suspected thief who sauntered into a supermarket, grabbed a handful of gammon and walked out of the store in the middle of the afternoon.

The suspect is the latest crook sought by Wiltshire Police, who have teamed up with the Adver in a bid to solve outstanding crimes.

The man walked into the Co-operative store in Aiken Road, Taw Hill, on November 18 last year and selected six gammon joints, to the value of £30, which he then concealed inside his jacket.

The man left the store making no attempt to pay for the goods between 3.40pm and 3.45pm.

Police have released CCTV stills of a man police would like to speak to in connection with this incident.

He is described as a white male, with dark hair, wearing a brown coat with the hood up, light coloured jeans and dark shoes.

He was also seen pushing a pushchair which had the rain cover over it the whole time.
