Radio personality Matthew Biggs wowed a green-fingered audience at Woodborough Garden Centre last Thursday.

Mr Biggs, best known as a panellist for BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time, spoke about the history of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, where he studied.

Visitors enjoyed wine and nibbles as Mr Biggs gave his talk and the evening finished with a question and answer session and book signing.

Mr Biggs will also be speaking at the Marlborough Gardening Association’s (MGA) meeting on April 9.

He will give a talk on The Back Gardens of Britain based on his visits to more than 150 different locations.
