Getting stuck in for Sports Relief at Chippenham school
Staff and pupils at Redlands Primary School did their bit for Sports Relief on Friday, taking turns to keep a static bike and rower going, and hula hooping all day.
The primary school has eleven teachers and 21 teaching assistants, and everyone took part, doing a 15 minute stint rowing, cycling or hula hooping.
Children at the school also raised money by dressing up as sporting characters, and costumes included ballerinas, footballers, tennis players and jockeys.
Headteacher Hilary Lambert said: “We’re doing our bit and we’ve raised £370 so far, so we’re as pleased as punch. We have entered into the spirit of Sports Relief.
“We’re having a great time for a very worthy cause. It’s what we should be doing to help other people less fortunate than ourselves.”
