YOUNGSTERS in Wanborough have a new football strip after housebuilders Taylor Wimpey sponsored their new kit.
The under-sevens, under-eights and under-nine teams at Wanborough Junior Football Club have received the new £1,000 kit and have already tested it out during a visit to the County Ground earlier this month.
Gary Sumner, of Wanborough Junior Football Club, said: “The cost of a new strip is a lot of money for a club like ours to find, and without Taylor Wimpey’s generous donation we would have struggled to fund kits for the new season, so the players would have had to use old kits. Taylor Wimpey has really saved the day.
“The kids love playing for the club. They build a great relationship with the other players and develop a real rapport and respect for each other. But above all, they love their football and they have a great time playing.”
Taylor Wimpey are working on the Wanborough Gardens development.
