WORKERS at Honda supplier South Marston Distribution Centre have been told that 135 temporary workers will lose their jobs as a result of the car manufacturer scaling back production.

Last Tuesday, Honda announced it would move from a three-shift to a two-shift pattern at its South Marston base and cut 500 jobs in the process.

Now, South Marston Distribution Centre, which employs 720 people, has announced that 135 temporary workers out of 234 will lose their jobs.

The decision will be based on performance and workers will find out their fate by the end of the month.
