Amateur snappers could see their pictures at the home of photography pioneer Henry Fox Talbot, with the launch of a new competition.
Love Lacock has been launched by the National Trust as part of the celebrations for the 175th anniversary of his invention of photographic negatives.
Photographers of all ages may submit pictures of the village with a 50-word explanation, with the top 20 selected to form an outdoor exhibition in the grounds of Lacock Abbey in October.
Visitor experience assistant Claire Selman said: ‘We want to involve everyone in celebrating Lacock and its photographic past.
“As a popular destination for photographers, we hope people visit especially to take part in the competition.
“We are looking forward to viewing the entries, and I’m sure Fox Talbot himself would have been very interested to see how his much-loved Lacock will be captured.”
