This Is Wiltshire: Chippenham councillors not lovin’ it Chippenham councillors not lovin’ it

McDonald’s in Chippenham is going large with its drive-thru in a bid to be able to serve customers more quickly at its restaurant in Bath Road.

But Chippenham Town Council is not happy with the increase in signs that franchisee Mike Guerin wants.

Councillors will write to Wiltshire Council to complain about the size and number of the new signs.

Mr Guerin has applied to Wiltshire Council to reconfigure its drive-thru lane to provide an extra order point and also wants to build a new island to put up signs. The plan will also include new storage and customer displays outside the restaurant.
