Pupils from Cherhill Primary School dressed as characters from Wind in the Willows for a performance last week.
Children in years five and six went through a dress rehearsal in front of children from Cherhill Preschool before performing to their families the following two days.
They brought much of Kenneth Grahame’s story to life, from Toad’s imprisonment for stealing a car to his final victory against the stoats and weasels who invade his home.
Teaching assistant Nicki Stagg was in charge of the production backdrop and scenery, and also asked her husband Andy and her son Josh, a year four pupil, to help.
Deputy headteacher Helen Lammin organised the production, along with year five and six teacher Sarah Price, and said the children looked fantastic in their costumes.
She said: “Make-up was provided by two of our parent governors Ali Wylie and Louise McKenzie and they transformed the children from every day children to woodland creatures of various descriptions.”
