Pupils at St Nicholas School in Chippenham brought out their trilby hats and trench coats to entertain parents with a detective themed production last week.
The school, on Malmesbury Road, teaches pupils from the ages of three to 19 who have severe or profound learning disabilities and holds a spring production every year.
Every class in the school took part and the pupils created their own props for the performances on Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon.
Youngsters from Forest class dressed up as different types of detectives, ranging from Ace Ventura the Pet Detective to Sherlock Holmes, and youngsters from Willow class staged a bank robbery.
Willow class teacher Hayley McMahon said pupils always enjoyed putting on the annual spring show, as it is an opportunity to perform that they wouldn’t have otherwise.
She said: “Every class in the school had five minutes to perform.
“It always makes me feel really proud, so it must be the same for the parents. It was fantastic, everyone was so proud of them.”
