Marlborough campus project launches recruitment drive

A recruitment drive for those keen to play a role in the Marlborough campus project, which will help shape the way services are delivered locally, has been launched.
Wiltshire Council says campuses - flexible space which can be used for a variety of purposes, people and organisations - will help deliver services which are value for money, tailored to local needs and influenced by local people and partners.
They are being developed with the help of residents through shadow community operations boards, ensuring each campus is as individual as the area it serves and are intended to provide services communities need in easy to access locations.
Marlborough Area Board set up a shadow community operations board (COB) late last year and its members have been working to develop ideas for a local campus.
The COB is made up of members of the community and has a key role in helping to direct the campus project.
It has a number of vacancies and is inviting residents of the Marlborough area who are interested in joining the group to express an interest.
Anyone wishing to join should express an interest by April 25.
A decision on new COB members will be taken by members of the Marlborough Area Board on May 20.
The COB is keen to hear from people from across the local community to ensure the views of local people are effectively represented. They are particularly keen to hear from the local business and retail community, sporting and leisure groups.
Those who are unable to commit to a long-term involvement but feel they have skills and energy which could be useful are still invited to express an interest.
To discuss what is involved before making an application, email campus delivery manager Matthew Woolford at firstname.lastname@example.org
Local people can apply to be involved in the shadow COB by completing an expression of interest form, which can be obtained by emailing email@example.com or call 01225 718350 if you would like to be sent a copy of the application form.
Forms are also available at the libraries in Marlborough and Ramsbury.
