CHILDREN will have the chance to explore Lydiard Park as part of a special trail this Easter Sunday.

The Great Lydiard Park Easter Egg trail takes place between 11am and 5pm and will see those taking part search for clues hidden around the park before picking up an Easter surprise.

The trail begins at Lydiard House and the route takes in the lakes, woodlands and lawns of the park.

No booking is required, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Trail sheets are available from Lydiard House and cost £4 per child.

There are a variety of other activities taking place at Lydiard Park over the Easter period including a seasonal exploration and mouse trail.

Between April and June, children can follow Fredrick the Fox Cub as he discovers the signs of spring around the park. Seasonal Exploration sheets are available at Lydiard House for £1.

The mouse trail is running as part of the Customs and Craft exhibition in Lydiard House where a selection of mice have been hidden within the house. The cost of the mouse trail is included in admission to Lydiard House.
