Former British Forces Foundation employee Chantelle Maye appeared at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court on Friday accused of taking more than £22,000 from the charity.

Maye, 34, of Durley, Marlborough, is charged with three counts of fraud, two counts of forgery, two counts of theft by employee and taking £22,004.57 through false bookkeeping while working at the Pewsey charity.

The alleged incidents took place between March 3, 2011, and August 31, 2012.

Ms Maye was represented by Michael Davis, of Charles Hoile Solicitors, and did not enter a plea. She was granted unconditional bail.

The case was adjourned to Salisbury Crown Court on May 2.
