A Devizes choir, which welcomes all singers regardless of previous experience, will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a three-day visit to twin town Waiblingen.

Sing Alive meets every Thursday during term time at Devizes School from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and unlike other choirs does not hold auditions or use sheet music.

The community choir will take part in a four day visit to Waiblingen from May 16 to 19 and join in a concert that will also feature Devizes other twin town of Mayenne.

On May 3 the choir will be at Urchfont Scarecrow Festival at 12.30pm.

Sing Alive founder Sian Penlington believes everyone is able to sing. She said: “We have fun and create a relaxed atmosphere so everyone feels able to sing without judgement or criticism which unfortunately may not have been their experience in other choirs or as far back as school.”

People can pay £5 for a trial session or sign up for six weeks for £45. More information at singalive.org
