MELKSHAM Town and Bradford Town warmed up for their Wiltshire Senior Cup final on Wednesday with league defeats on Easter Monday.

Melksham lost 3-1 at home to Bath side Odd Down, Kye Simpson scoring a hat-trick for the visitors in the Toolstation League Premier Division as Leigh Rogers was on target for Melksham.

Bradford, crowned champions of the First Division last week, were defeated 3-2 by Wiltshire rivals Calne Town at Bremhill View.

The Lilywhites were 2-0 up at half time as Alex Hamilton netted in the 16th minute before Neurin Jones added a second just before the interval.

Tom Slater made it 3-0 after half time before Bradford launched a belated revival, courtesy of goals from Dan Fowler and ex-Calne man Dan King.

The Wiltshire derby between Corsham Town and Devizes Town finished 2-2 at the Southbank, Booker Woodford putting home side Corsham ahead before half time.

Devizes hit back twice to lead 2-1 before Ant Brown ensured honours were even.

The derby between Warminster Town and Chippenham Park also ended in a draw, Sam Clift netting with an overhead kick for the home side before Park drew level with a penalty from Luke Murden in the dying moments.

There was no joy for Westbury United, who were beaten 2-0 at Wells City, Tom Hurley and Darren Maynard on target for the home side.

Malmesbury Victoria put their off-field problems behind them for an afternoon as they thrashed Carterton 4-0 in their penultimate Hellenic League Division One West match of the season.

Financially-stricken Vics host North Leigh United in their final match of the season tomorrow.

Pewsey Vale were also winners in Sydenhams League Division One, Tom Ritchie on target in their 1-0 win over Laverstock & Ford.
