Calne’s mayor Mercy Baggs opened a new shop in town last week, offering personalised T-shirts, sweatshirts, and school uniforms.

The new shop, called With Style, opened on April 14 after taking over premises on Church Street once used by Masquerade Shoes.

Business owner and mother-of-four Liz Turner, who lives in Calne, set up the clothing company at Bowden Hill, Lacock, 18 months ago.

She said: “I live in Calne and it’s just a nice place to be. The shop came up and it was the ideal opportunity. Luckily the landlord had tidied up, but we have had to come in and refurbish it.

“It’s all very exciting, the mayor very kindly came down to open it. We feel that people welcome new business in the area. We’ve got an existing client base already, but we’re just trying to expand on it.”
