Every child helped by Chippenham’s Rise Trust received an Easter egg thanks to generous donors.
The recruitment business 24-7 Staffing collected nearly 300 chocolate eggs for the children of families at the Christian outreach charity.
Lisa Waters, branch manager at 24-7 Staffing, said: “People were very, very kind.
“The kids’ eyes were wide open when they saw how many there were.”
The Rise Trust also received nappies for needy families from Sainsbury’s this week. The supermarket gave away the nappies when customers spend £50 with two crates full being collected.
Deputy chief executive Joy Webber said: “It is the first time we’ve been given Easter eggs and it was absolutely amazing. We have about 50 outreach families we support and they all got one and we had so many that all of the children in our Early Excellence settings and after school clubs got one too.
“We are very grateful for the nappies as well.”
