Sign up for Wiltshire skydive to raise cash for heart research

Thrillseekers are being urged to sign up for a skydiving challenge in Wiltshire to raise funds for heart research.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has launched its annual Heart Flyers campaign, which sees participants take on a 10,000ft tandem skydive.

Skydivers are attached to a professional British Parachute Association instructor as they jump out of a plane and freefall at around 120mph for between 45 and 50 seconds.

The event is organised in partnership with parachute company provider UK Skydive.

Training and the skydive are completed on the same day, with more than 20 locations available throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Sites include Netheravon and Reading in Berkshire.

Hundreds of people took part in Heart Flyers events last year, raising more than £100,000. The charity is hoping to improve on that total this year.

Participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £400.
