Family restaurant Frankie & Benny’s official opened today, the third restaurant to open at the £17m St Stephen's Place complex in Trowbridge.

The leisure park, which also has an Odeon cinema, Nandos, Prezzo and Premier Inn, opened in October last year.

Frankie & Benny’s, the 1950s New York-inspired chain, has created 40 new jobs at the site, developed by Legal & General, with most of the staff based locally and some from Bath.

St Stephen’s Place Leisure Park recently won up the Town Enhancement Award at the Trowbridge’s annual Civic and Town Enhancement Awards ceremony, which was presented at the mayor’s civic dinner.

General manager James Bird, of Westbury Leigh, said: “It’s amazing to be finally open and to join the other restaurants at St Stephen’s Place. Trowbridge is lucky to have so many new restaurants on its doorstep.

“We offer great value food to people of all ages and we are available for many different occasions, including kids’ parties and birthdays.

"We also intend to sponsor one of the Trowbridge Rugby youth teams to give something back to the community.”

Frankie & Benny’s will soon be joined by new American restaurant Dean’s Diner, which is due to open at the leisure park in July.
