Westbury Music and Arts Festival will return with another packed programme of events in September, with music from acts including Steeple Rocks and Finnegan’s Wake.

The festival, which is now in its seventh year, will feature events at a variety of venues across the area, including The Hollies Inn, The Three Daggers, Westbury Library, the Laverton, All Saints' Church and Fairfield Opportunity Farm.

This year’s events include a First World War commemoration, as well as art exhibitions, a comedy music night, children’s entertainment and a specialist talk from historian Steve Hobbs.

Ian Cunningham, who is leading the festival this year, said he is delighted with the variety of the fortnight long programme, which will run from September 26.

He said: “There is something for everyone – and many of the events are free so we really hope as many people as possible will join in and support this popular community event.

“We still have a few slots available within the programme and we are always pleased to hear from potential sponsors – particularly local businesses.”
