THE battle for the Division Two title is going down to the wire after leaders SKS Blyskawica and second-placed The Running Horse claimed big wins.

The table-toppers ran out 5-1 winners over Wanborough on Sunday to follow on from their 3-2 success against West Swindon Wanderers in midweek.

But Horse, who trail the leaders by a point going into the final round of games, maintained the pressure with 19 goals in two matches.

Having thrashed AC Swindon in midweek, they followed that up with a 12-1 demolition of Dynamo Ashton.

This weekend, Horse travel to West Swindon Wanderers, while Blyskawica visit Windmill.

Having wrapped up the Division One title last Wednesday with a 3-1 success at Wheatsheaf, AFC Gas ended their league campaign with a 5-3 victory over third-placed New Century WMC.

Alan Blake’s side will now look to complete the double on Sunday when they face current Division Three leaders Cheney in the Knockout Cup final at Swindon Supermarine.

Division One’s Trak claimed the Chairman’s Trophy with a 1-0 success over Penhill United at Highworth Town’s The Elms.

Cheney warmed up for their clash with Gas with a 6-4 win over PL Motor Service.

Rodbourne Real wrapped up their season with a 2-1 victory over Rudis.

Stratton Saints edged a nine-goal thriller in the only Division Four match played at the weekend.

Wedge eased to a 6-1 success over Rosier Rovers in Division Five.

Gorsehill Borough maintained their quest for the Division Six title with two wins in the past seven days.

Last Thursday they ran out 8-0 winner at Swindon Athletic before following that up with a 6-2 success at Save on Tyres Athletic.

Cricklade MTA claimed a 3-2 success over Cricklade Park Rangers, while AFC Royal beat Rug Shack 9-2.

Meanwhile, Jason Evans earned Faringdon Town reserves a 1-1 draw with East Hendred North Berks League Division Two .

In Division Four, Faringdon Town A won 2-1 at Ardington & Lockinge reserves, thanks to goals from Luke Wilkins and Rob Winfield.
