Singing teacher and founder of White Horse Opera, Geraldine Roche, has come up with an entertaining way of celebrating her 70th birthday.

Ms Roche, who lives in Victoria Road, Devizes, has called on all of her talented friends and the worlds of music and theatre to come together on Friday, July 4, at 7.30pm.

They will perform in a concert in St John’s Church, with proceeds being divided between the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and St Mary’s Trust Fund.

She said: “I am calling it 70 Years a Diva, because I think I was one even before I started singing.

“It will be a sumptuous charity concert, celebrating a lifetime of sharing wonderful words and music with many talented friends.

“Tickets are already selling well, so I would urge people to hurry and get theirs. It is going to be a great evening.”

Tickets, priced at £10 including cake and a glass of sparkling white wine, are on sale at Devizes Books.

They can also be bought on (01380) 726386.
