Chippenham Sailing and Canoeing Club is inviting people to have a go at sailing and paddling on Sunday.

The club wants people of all ages and abilities out on the water for the Royal Yachting Association Push the Boat Out weekend.

From 11am there will be a chance to try out watersport activities such as dinghy sailing, canoe polo, kayaking, canoeing and the katakanu, a safe double canoe suitable for less able people.

There will also be a barbecue, training for the dragon boat races, and river trips to spot wildlife.

Chippenham SCC vice commodore Meryl Kelsey Masters said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out. We are inviting the local community to come down to the club, have a go at sailing and paddling, see what the club has to offer and get involved. Who knows, if you visit you might just get hooked!”
