PARENTS can take advantage of a kids’ camp in the May half-term.

The Hi5 camp is held at Swindon Council’s Haydon Centre in Thames Avenue, between May 27 and 30.

The camp provides activities for children between four and 12 and covers all aspects of a child’s development and well-being including emotional and social needs.

Hi5 is registered with Ofsted and the holiday camp encompasses the criteria laid down in their guidelines. All staff have undergone in-house training courses on child protection and welfare and staff have also been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to work with children.

The activities on offer to children, which vary from day to day, include team and ball games like football, short tennis, basketball, trampolining, bouncy castle, quizzes, electronic games, music and dance and arts and craft.

The camp runs from 8.30am until 5.30pm and costs £22.50 with a Leisure in Swindon card and £40.50 without a card. A registration form must be completed before your child can enrol, complete the sports camp online form at www.leisureinswindon.co.uk.
