PATIENTS, carers and staff are being asked to nominate extraordinary doctors, nurses and health workers for the mental health services’ annual awards.
The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Staff Awards recognise the outstanding achievements, hard work and dedication shown by teams and individuals, not only in Swindon but across the wider region.
Last year, two Swindon AWP employees Perpetual Muzenda, acting ward manager of Applewood House and Wendy Goode, administrator for the Swindon Intensive Team received accolades.
The judging panel will include representatives from each of AWP’s localities, specialist drug and alcohol services, specialised and secure services, and from the Joint Union Council as well as external judges.
The winners will be announced on World Mental Health Day, on October 10.
