Burbage fun day to support cancer charities

A fun day will be held in Burbage Village Hall on Sunday to raise money for cancer charities.

The annual event runs from 10am–3pm and will include a craft market, raffle, car wash and car boot sale. Entry is free.

So far the event has raised £7,000 over the years and is organised by Leigh Hawkins, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2009.

Money raised will be split evenly between The Brain Tumour Charity, which supported Mr Hawkins and his family, and Macmillan Cancer Support.
