POLICE are investigating a violent brawl at the bottom of Victoria Hill in the early hours of the morning which has left one man in serious condition at Great Western Hospital.

It is believed he was glassed in the face and remains in the hospital's resuscitation ward.

The road around Regent Circus was closed for much of the morning while details of the fight, believed to have involved around 15 men outside Dream Lounge, are established.

Three men in their early 20s have been arrested for grievous bodily harm and are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.

Forensic officers are currently combing the scene for evidence and discover exactly what happend.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "Police were called 4.21am on May 25 to the scene of a fight outside the ‘Dream Lounge’ in Victoria Road, Swindon.

"The fight is believed to have involved 15 men and one man received serious facial injuries and was taken to Great Western Hospital.

"Three men, all aged in their early 20’s, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and were taken to Gablecross police station where they remain in custody.

"Enquiries are continuing.
