ST JOHN Ambulance is inviting people in the south west to put their best fancy-dressed feet forward and get set for a fun first aid fundraiser – the Superhero Stroll.
The first aid charity wants people to gather their friends, colleagues or classmates and sign up now for the new event, taking place in September.
They can step out in style in their favourite superhero costume – from a comic book t-shirt, to a full-on bodysuit, mask and cape – and take a sponsored stroll to raise money and help the charity continue its mission of saving lives.
“Superheroes use their powers to save lives – and they also get to wear great outfits,” said Kevin Dickens, the regional fundraising co-ordinator.
“If you’ve always wished you could do the same, now is your chance.
“You can get creative and design some marvellous masks for a lunchtime walk with your work or classmates, or maybe take a 10 mile walk through the countryside.
“Alternatively, just grab all the Lycra you can lay your hands on and head out for a Saturday night on the town with your most fantastic friends.
“Anyone can take part, and you just choose the date in September that suits you, so get in touch with us now to sign up.”
This event follows on from the Superhero Skydive, which will see fundraisers taking tandem parachute jumps from 10,000 feet in support of the charity, from June through the rest of the summer.
